Meetings

Observing: Meetings

Here are few observations from meetings-
•    In any meeting, the managers will display their power & authority
•    Meeting schedule will always overlap snacks timings.
•    In meeting, some of the team members will draw cartoons in their notebook.
•    Most of the times, any meeting will end longer than expected.
•    Some are busy in signing the last page of notebook
•    If it’s a conference call, it requires at least one to two redial to get connected.
•    No one is interested in the ongoing discussion.
•    No one will ever question which displayed on wide screen.
•    Asking any irrelevant questions to show presence in meeting
•    At least one cell phone with the worst ring-tone will ring up during a dissection
•    People will use fancy / dark color to indicate values and big Arial font in slide.
•    Some are falling asleep during work meetings
•    Some are chatting on their mobile ( Gtalk , FB) or sending SMS

Must Read and adopt ..and life will be beautiful

Today I received E mail, that i would liked to share with you
Dear All,

Must Read and adopt ..and life will be beautiful

Speech by Chetan Bhagat at Symbiosis…

Don’t just have career or academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced, successful life. I use the word balanced before successful. Balanced means ensuring your health, relationships, mental peace are all in good order.
There is no point of getting a promotion on the day of your breakup. There is no fun in driving a car if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable if your mind is full of tensions.

“Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same is with life where health and relationships are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die. ……………….

One thing about nurturing the spark – don’t take life seriously. Life is not meant to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up? …………….

It’s ok, bunk a few classes, scoring low in couple of papers, goof up a few interviews, take leave from work, fall in love, little fights with your spouse. We are people, not programmed devices………”

REVIEW: Amitabh Bachchan’s Paa

The ageing disorder and Amitabh Bachchan’s look in Paa have been compared to Robin Willams’ Jack and Brad Pitt’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. But those superficial similarities aside, Paa is a completely different story.

Aspiring politician Amol (Abhishek Bachchan) and medical student Vidya (Balan) have a child out of wedlock. Not wanting to hamper his political future, Amol asks Vidya to abort the baby. Vidya however breaks all ties with Amol and gives birth to Auro (Amitabh Bachchan) – a progeria patient whose physical appearance looks five times older than his mental age.

Years later, Auro and Amol come face-to-face and develop an instant rapport. Now Amol’s past threatens to destroy his dream run in politics. Meanwhile Vidya is caught between her hatred for Amol and Auro’s journey towards discovering his long lost father.

Take your Maa and Paa along and you wont regret it.
